A UK-based manufacturer has chosen Danville for the site of its first U.S. plant, economic development officials announced Thursday.
Harlow Group Ltd., an advanced manufacturer of highly engineered assemblies, fabrications and precisions metal work services, will house its operation in the Danville Cyber Park. The company expects to invest $8 million to build the manufacturing plant and create 49 jobs, according to a news release.
“After a two-year process looking at a number of alternative possibilities to expand into the U.S., we are delighted to finally conclude our decision to make an investment in Danville, Virginia,” Alan Pearce, founder and CEO of Harlow Fastech, said in the release.
“Virginians have been amongst the most welcoming and friendly people, and their appetite to make things work and overcome obstacles is second to none.”
